Details: The Brand and Product The Dentistar® is an orthodontic and tooth friendly silicone baby dummy. The patented dental step of the dummy's tip was developed and designed in collaboration with orthodontic specialist Prof. Dr. Rolf Hinz. An independent and scientific study, conducted by the German University Witten/Herdecke, investigated the claims of the Dentistar soother. It was found that significantly fewer children developed tooth misalignments using the Dentistar soother compared to conventional, orthodontic soothers. Our Size System ★ Size 1 | 0-6 months: "From birth until the breakthrough of the first front teeth" The dental-step is slightly prominent in our size 1. The small teat gives the tongue enough room to move. Size 1 can be given to the child from birth. The flattened tip of the mouthpiece allows the tongue to have lots of space. Once the first front teeth have grown, it should be switched to size 2. ★ Size 2 | 6-14 months: "When the first front teeth come through" The teat of size 2 is only a little different, the dental-step is more prominent, in order to give the front teeth space. The flattened tip of the mouthpiece allows the tongue to have lots of space. ★ Size 3 | 14+ months: "From the breakthrough of the first back teeth and onwards" The dental-step for size 3 is very prominent, minimising the pressure on jaw and teeth. The flattened tip of the mouthpiece still allows the tongue to have lots of space. To suit your child's growth, the mouth shield of this size is larger and adapted to fit the face's shape.
